I picked up Abby this morning to begin her mini-vacation with us. We hurried to get to the school so we could participate in the crafts class. However, just before we got there, we learned that the craft lady didn't show up today. She's coming tomorrow instead. So tomorrow we get crafts, magic, Yo-Yo and desert animals! Also, we thought there would be games this afternoon, but that ended up being bowling instead....much to Abby's delight! So while we waited for the bus to arrive, she and Mark threw a Frisbee around the gym. Then we were off to the bowling alley. Abby tried several techniques for throwing the ball, and I think the one she liked best was rolling it down the chute. It seemed more accurate and went much faster that way. Her biggest frustration was that she couldn't seem to throw a strike. She had several spares, but no strikes. Maybe next time.
After we came home we lounged around a bit and then headed off to Elephant Bar for dinner. Yum! Abby discovered that she quite enjoys cole slaw. Way to go, Abby, for trying something new!!! Tomorrow is classes and scrapbooking here at the house. Another fun day!!
