Check out his mismatched socks. That's how he rolls....I've never seen him in matching socks in the many years he's been coming to the summer program!!!

Today Abby and I got going and headed to the school for summer program classes. The first class was the Yo-Yo class. It was taught by Julius, a Yo-Yo professional, and this three assistants, Tyler, Tyler and Kyler. I know, odd. But they are fabulous! Makes you wonder how one learns such things and how they become so good at what they do. Abby "volunteered" to help with the top trick. Believe it or not, the top he uses in this trick costs over $100! What happened to a cheap, plastic top??
The next class was crafts. She made a cute puppet from fun foam and tongue depressors. She named her Pollyanna. She's had fun playing with her.
In the third class, we met up with Brian and the boys. It was the desert animals class. Dallin could hardly contain himself waiting to hold a snake! He asked a couple of good questions, too, which tells me he really pays attention to the 40 minute lecture!! Dallin was stoked to hold the snakes, but Luke wasn't quite so sure. And Abby would touch them but wanted no part in actually holding one.
The last class today was a magic class. Richard, the magician, does a great job both in execution of the tricks as well as teaching the kids how to do them. He was very generous and gave them several trick to take home to try out on their families and friends. After lunch we came home and relaxed a bit. We later got most of Abby's Grand Canyon album done. We'll finish up the last couple of pages tomorrow before a pizza lunch and the movies! What fun summer is!!
