Cookies!

Today was Eliza's last day with us for her mini "vacation". She was a little lazy this morning, which I thought was great for her! Midmorning we started baking peanut butter cookies. She wanted to make them for her family. She pour in all of the ingredients and ran the Bosch. I formed them into balls and her job was to "stamp" each cookie with the bottom of a vintage sugar bowl. One of the bowls had a star shape on the bottom and she was thrilled with that. Then she started looking around the house for more stamping material! She found another old sugar bowl with little round bubble shapes on the bottom. I think they look a little like a golf ball with the dimples. She had a great time doing her "job". Then she was good to help finish up the baking and cleaning up. She wouldn't even take one taste of the cookie dough....she was out to make as many cookies as she could. And she did! It was so much fun having her with us this week. We did lots of fun things with the summer program kids, went to dinner a couple of nights and she made herself a track album to document her first year in track. It turned out very nice! I called her this evening and told her I was lonesome without her. She giggled. She doesn't have an opportunity to be lonesome at her house....with four younger sisters, there is never a dull moment. Libby is next week! Yea!!
